So I purchased a Cintiq Companion 1 when it first came out. I thin got my hands on the Companion 2, and the version two fixed the many issues I had with version 1. The power switch, and the lack of being able to use it as a standard Cintiq. Now Wacom has come out with a new version, and is no longer calling it the Companion. It is now called the MobilStudio Pro. (http://www.wacom.com/en-us/products/pen-computers/wacom-mobilestudio-pro) It is offered in two Sizes and multiple configurations. Supposedly it has a new pen, and eliminates parallax. This makes me very excited as that is the major issue I have with my personal companion, is whenever I switch positions, I need to recalibrate. It also boasts a ton of new features, including a 3D camera on the tiger end versions. I am not sure at this time the price, but those features alone make me want to upgrade. If they fixed the buttons on the side so they take less pressure (it was improved on the companion 2 Look for my review of the companion 2 here) then I am totally sold. Hopefully I can get my hands on one to review, and I will let you know 🙂
Well it looks like Blizzard is going to release somthing “new.” I haven’t yet had a chance to play it, even in a beta format, just looked at the trailer. It seems like a combo between team fortress, and tribes, with a little bit of Blizzard whimsy thrown in. Looks to be a fun game to waist a bit of time, though probably won’t be as long as Wow. I look forward to getting my hands on a copy, and hopefully now Starcraft II final volume will be released soon.
Yep.. Life happened. Still here still looking at stuff. Mostly been spending my freetime Playing the new D&D 5e by Wizards of the Coast (http://dnd.wizards.com). Decent game, it is as if they went back tot he roots of D&D. Gone is the “we want to be a tabletop MMO” style that was fourth edition, but it is not 3.5, as that is now the domain of Pathfinder. It has all the races you came to love/hate in 4th Ed, but with real rules, real balance, and real fun. You can still have feats, but they are not the be all and end all like 3.5. Each class is unique in what it does, but you can have an adventure without requiring the typical fighter, rogue, cleric. Prebuilt adventures are decent as well. Nicely written, but with room for the DM to play should they choose. All in all, well done. Now if they can allow 3rd party people to create Tablet, and smartphone enhancements (they kinda messed one up, not sure where it is going yet) then this will be neigh perfect.
